Five Nights At Freddy’s Film in the Making

“Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to Five Nights at Freddy’s” (thehollywoodreporter.com)

You hear that everyone! Five Night’s at Freddy’s is going to be made into a film! “The feature adaptation will be produced by Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment as well as Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions.” (thehollywoodreporter.com) Now for those who haven’t played or seen someone play Five Nights at Freddy’s go look at one of our previous posts; in short this is a creepy, dark and twisted Chuck-E-Cheese style game.

““We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith. “The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to,” said Cawthon.Lee was a producer on Warners’ Liam Neeson action thriller Run All Night and has the Poltergeist remake due to open May 22. Grahame-Smith and Katzenberg, meanwhile, are developing a Beetlejuice sequel.” (thehollywoodreport.com)

Now, this is either going to go really really well or really really badly. It’s either going to be an amazing film or it’s going to tank. We’ve all seen some fairly decent video game based films like Resident Evil (the first one), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed. And we’ve seen some really bad ones like Prince of Persia and Max Payne. Then there’s the ones who have the games who can’t stop making films and are either hit or miss: Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and Street Fighter.

Hopefully, it goes really well. I’m holding out hope that it will be a really good film. I’m also really hoping that Mark Fischbach, aka Markiplier, is going to be in it. Let’s be real he is the face of this game. He’s the most well known gamer who has played this game. (You can find the first video of the first game down below)

Now, currently there’s no set date for the film to come out, no cast, or anything like that. So it’s safe to assume that it’ll be a couple of years until the film comes out. We’ll see what comes next!

Anyways, that’s all that we have time for today. Have a great day guys!
