Okay, so you see this man right here? Okay, this man is freaking amazing and one of my favorite actors. Now let me tell you why.

First off, he’s funny. Like really really funny, and not just on screen but off as well. He can sing and dance, like really well. Go watch the television shows Psych or Galavant. Galavant is a musical comedy that breaks the fourth wall and pokes fun at the classical fairy tales. Really great show. Psych is just a super funny show in general and there is a musical episode that showcases Timothy’s amazing vocals.

SPN-Cain2But one of my favorite things about him is that while he can play the funny comedic characters, even boarding dopy at times (in a good way, I’m looking at you King Richard), he can play there very serious, powerful, and even frightening characters like Cain in the television show Supernatural.

And if none of those are enough for you he also made guess appearances on Warehouse 13, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Criminal Minds, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Deadwood, Fraiser, Seinfeld, and that really really cheesy Disney Channel Movie Luck of the Irish.

He’ll be playing God in the show Lucifer (which I stated in my last post, I LOVE this show)

Honestly, he’s an amazing actor, great person, and you just gotta watch some of the stuff he’s in. I promise if you’ll love him. If that’s not enough here’s a couple videos to change your mind.

Sorry for the Russian subs on this next one but it was the only way I could find the full version.

Go watch Timothy Omundson, he’s amazing. You’ll love him.

Have a great day guys!

“Lucifer Bloody Morningstar” (The Devil in the City of Angels)

Okay, first off, don’t write this show off because of the name. It’s a really really good show and I think you should watch it, and I’ll tell you why while trying not to give too much away.

So the first thing you should know is that the show is based off of the DC comic Lucifer, yes he is still the Devil but knowing it stems from the comic world should change your view on it just a bit.

Here’s the wiki description of the show, “this series follows Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who has become dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, Lucifer indulges in his favorite things (women, wine and song) — until a murder takes place outside of his upscale nightclub. For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer’s soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another surprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe, who appears to possess an inherent goodness — unlike the worst of humanity, to which he is accustomed. Suddenly, Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul.”

Lucifer.jpgThis show is a really really great show because there’s quite a bit of character development and depth. And it’s not just the main characters, but the side characters have depth to them and develop throughout the series. Speaking of characters, the characters are really really great characters, even the ones you don’t like. They’re all well written and intriguing.

The acting is great, especially Tom Ellis’ portrayal of Lucifer. He sings and plays the piano in it which adds an element to the character adding to his smooth charm. Lucifer is the Devil, which he fully owns. He owns that he rebelled against God, his Father. He owns up to that, but he also challenges people who try to blame him for their mistakes. The whole, “Oh the Devil made me do it”, no he didn’t. That was your choice to murder, rape, or steal. You made that choice. He is also challenged by those who actually believe in God like Father Frank and Ella, they help change his view on people who have faith. He doesn’t view them all as hypocrites anymore. And he challenges the hypocrites.

tumblr_inline_og1gzl9MgI1uoi4bn_500.gifOn a more technical note, the cinematography, the look, of the film is just gorgeous. The show is so pretty and eye catching. And the music, the music is wonderful. They have songs like “I’m a Wanted Man” , “King of Pain”, “The River”, “Way Down We Go”, “Unsteady” and so much more. The writing is good and flows well together, bringing things from previous episodes back into play, the character development, and the humor. Oh the humor is on point. So many devil and hell jokes, like The Devil wears Prada which indeed he does, or things like instead of “Speak of the devil” it’s “Speaking of me”. It’s super funny.

lucifer_s1_poster_f5The show is complex and deep at times, mixing light humor and dark humor, as well as thought provoking. It’s obviously not the Lucifer and Christian story that you know but it takes an interesting twist on it. This is why I think it being a DC comic and how it goes about the whole thing keeps it from being deemed blasphemous by some religious people. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of people out think this should be banned because it’s about Lucifer. But I’m asking you, and not just for this show but for every show you watch, don’t judge a show based on the name of what you think you may know about it. Give it a chance, sit down and watch a few episodes before making your choice on whether or not you should watch this show. And if you don’t like it don’t force your opinions on others, it’s okay to say I don’t like it but it’s not okay to keep forcing your opinion on others and trying to make someone else think they way you do. And vice versa of course.

All in all, I really really love this show and if this sounds like something you may be interested in then go check it out. I think it’ll be worth your time. Currently there are only two seasons but they have been renewed for a third season. So, check out Lucifer and let me know what you think!
